Aloo Paratha

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 medium potato, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ghee or oil for cooking
  • Water for kneading

Method

  1. Knead the whole wheat flour with water into a soft dough and set aside.
  2. Mix mashed potato with cumin seeds, turmeric, coriander powder, green chili, and salt.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls, roll out into a small circle, place a spoonful of potato mixture in the center, and fold the dough over it.
  4. Roll out the stuffed dough into a paratha and cook on a hot tawa with ghee until golden brown on both sides.
