Chole (Chickpea Curry)
Ingredients
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas (use canned or pre-soaked overnight and boiled)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 small tomato, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp chole masala
- 1/4 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt, to taste
Method
- Heat oil in a pot, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until raw smell disappears.
- Add chopped tomatoes, chole masala, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
- Add boiled chickpeas, mix well, and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve with rice or roti.
